I have recently aquired the domain IPhoneUsers.com, I have spent the past 24 hours setting up the forums and now everything apart from a few little tweaks and the matter of a logo is just about ready to go.
However the hardest part of getting a forum going is filling it with the initial content.
So to help this along I thought I would setup an incentive:
The top 10 users with the most quality content posted at the end of May 2010 will then go into a prize draw and will be polled to the public, the winner of the poll will then win an Iphone 3GS.
The forum is new with zero content, so everyone will have an equal chance!

you must post relevant quality content, the competition is not based upon your post count but quality of content posted.
We would prefer that users do not copy / paste content, However if you feel that something is worth the copy, atleast tag it with its author / source.

We are currently looking to drive the site forward so we are now recruiting experienced Bloggers, Screencasters or anyone else who feels that they could help us create unique articles & videos.
We are looking to cover everything from the latest satellite news to reviewing the latest satellite and home entertainment systems and everything else that fits under PureFTA.com
If you feel that you can contribute to this project we would like to hear from you.

PureFTA Goes International 
For sometime PureFTA has focused on providing information for specific satellites & packages e.g. Dish & Bev
However as things change, its time for us to move forward and adapt to those changes.
Although we will still provide information on the likes of Dish / Bev and continue to provide the service most of you are here for
We will now be providing more True FTA information, so you can all put some life back into those doorstops and use them for what they were originally intended 
FTA is a hobby and we want to put the activity and life back into that hobby.
Remember back in the days when you searched for those hidden Gems, testing streams and other fta channels that have some programming worth watching.
You will notice around the forums that we have expanded the internation disccusion forums and added some new sections, which include:
Encryption
Smartcards
Programming
Conditional Access Modules
Now you might look at these and be slightly confused.
Although these do not related directly to the previous providers we focused on, these expand PureFTA to the european satellite scene and allow us to provide more technical knowledge and information.
As you will notice the new sections we have added are empty so as always we ask, please help populate these, by posting useful information such as news, updates, tutorials, downloads etc..
I have also rearranged some of the forums slightly which groups similar forums together, this should help make navigating the forums easier.
I will also be hiring a developer to create an Upload Center for us, which will be used more for frequently updated files like smartcard bins etc..
Hopefully everyone will agree these changes are moving us forward & if you have any suggestions I look forward to hearing them

As you may have noticed I have been tinking with the forum slightly, here is a run down of what alterations have been made and what is planned for the future.
Forums Re-Arranged
I have re-arranged the order of the forums slightly that puts more FTA relevant sections to the top of the site.
Design Altered
I have altered the design slightly, mainly to fix small cosmic things like the homepage logo, additional navigation bar and the PC TV Sponsor advertisement.
IKS Section Added
Due to the scene bring somewhat quiet since the introduction of N3 and the chances of it staying that way for sometime,
I have added an IKS section, which is currently the only alternative than buying a legit subscription.
Future Development
SEO
I will be adding vbSEO & Doing alot of SEO work on PureFTA over the coming weeks to help increase the forums popularity.
True FTA Sections
As we are called PureFTA, I feel that True FTA Information, sections etc.. should be of priority here so that those with an FTA reciever can use it for what it was originally intended and can learn that if you spend a little time there are alot of hidden gems that are FTA | |
