    Me too, I believe the missing link (for the vs max) is the file that the reciever uses to request caid mapping.
    It seems the vs ultra/wf has this in one of the two files used to make the wfemu connect- don't think that is the case with available vs max/wf files.
    imo

    yes i know what that is
    first you have to download the files in ubuntu once you download the files double klik open it and put in the desktop.after that put in the home folder these 3 files rq-sssp-client.x86 rq-sssp-client and wfemu
    once you in the home folder you have to right clik properties and mark permissions on all 3. and now put you ps info in the rq-sssp-client file hit save once you put you info. now run wfemu in the terminal and get you port.after you get you port number 1 2 3 xtra.... open the rq-sssp-client file and put you number in .save again and now run the rq-sssp-client.x86 in the terminal
    if you do everything right you will get a picture

    its been a while for me .to do all that.but it works

    linux with viewsat how to

    Extract all files using archive manager and make sure to place the 3 files (wfemu, rq-sssp-cleint.x86 and rq-sssp-client.conf) in your HOME FOLDER (the folder that looks like a home).
    Select wfemu and rq-sssp-cleint.x86 and right-click and click on properties. Under permissions tab, check to make sure all are set to read and write. Also put a check to allow execution. Then select rq-sssp-cleint.conf and right-click and click on properties. Under permissions tab, check to make sure all are set to read and write.

    Now that you have set permissions, open rq-sssp-clisnt.conf and edit the following line:

    Code:

    card_server_url=newcamd://Insert-your-ACCESSCODE-here:Insert-your-ACCESSCODE-here-AGAIN@Insert-your-servername-here:Insert-your-Port-here/6103403445406970987123412134

    Insert your accesscode, server name and port wherever mentioned and then go to file - SAVE (NOT save as!).

    Now, in linux, go to Start - Accessories - and click on terminal.

    Type the following there:
    Code:

    ./wfemu

    and press enter.

    You will see a PTS port that comes out. Eg: pts/6

    Now, open rq-sssp-client.conf again and edit the following line:
    Code:

    serial_port=/dev/pts/6

    and change the number '6' to the number that you got.
    Go to file and click on SAVE and close it.

    Go to Start - Accessories - and click on terminal once again (yes, another instance of terminal).
    Type the following there:
    Code:

    ./rq-sssp-client.x86

    and press enter.

    Now, you should be watching TV!
    Enjoy!

    here it is nice and easy-someone else shared this with me.
    make sure that wfemu and rqssspclientconf and rqssspclientx86 are in the home folder and are not in rar form.
    doulbe click the conf file and hit the display- go to very bottom and alter the card server info to what you have ie japan info; make sure that the serial port matches your serial port,(this is almost at the top of the page), then hit save and close box
    open terminal and type ./wfemu and enter
    open 2nd terminal and type ./rq-sssp-client.x86 and enter- a line should come up saying "connected", if you are hooked up from computer to receiver properly you will have tv
