I made my own modified dish-works great

It took me two weeks to engineered and modify the old primestar 36" dish that I got from neighborhood old town backyard. I made possible diagrams, used the rotor and elevator from old 18" dish, cut the arm, put a metal plate athe back and then bolt the rotor on it after drilling the holes. Made a bracket that can hold 6 circular lnb's, used the hose clamps and drilled at the center of the clamps to the bracket that hold on the lnb. I removed the lnb that came with the primestar dish, and drilled two holes that hold the bracket perfectly on that. I just finished mounting, and it took me just under 3 mintues to get 119, and 118. The rest I will do tomorrow and will also post the pictures on the mount. Right now it is 2.00am CST, and I am tired after all. Enjoy the pictures that I am attaching of my work. I intend to get 3-4 more satellite with my set up. Already 2 ups, and will try to get 110, 101, 91, 82 tomorrow.

    Finally Mounted and Installed

Finally installed and mounted perfectly, painted, and a box put aside for future upgrade. Scanned 4 diff. satellites, most channels were identicals. Finally ended up with 118.7 (Anikf3), 119.0 (E*7), and 110.0 (E*8/10). The channels on 91/82 (B*V) are almost the same as on 118.7 (Anikf3).
All together, a great experience, but ended up with great satisfaction.
Lnb cost: $50, Dish cost: $10, Acessories: 20, Satisfaction: PRICELESS.

The pole that I put this gigantic on, was a 9 feet. It is 4.5 feet inside the ground with concrete at the base. I hope, it should hold its ground when test should put on like hurricanes are common where I Louisiana. Will see in October onward.

Just want to add my two cents. Your dish set up looks clean, and you say it works then I just might have to try it myself.

Thank you, yes, indeed, kind of proud of myself, and since I am not at all kind of techy, it is of course an achievement underpar.

Highly unlikely you will get all 4 of those sats on a single modified Dish -----The spread is 38 Degrees.

    You might get 91 / 110 / and 119.
