Unless your banner is wrong or Christmas has moved to the 27th of December. I believe the Yes's definitely win. Also, checked the shoutbox about 4AM 26th and no one was bitching about being down except those who haven't figured it out yet. If you count them as down you are probably right but the ECM was sent the 27th. I keep track because I have a bet that I will not be up 50% of the time from November 1, 2007 to October 31, 2008. So far I am ahead. The extra two days would make it even better.:D

I checked the files section for a few and here is what I see >

New file releases:

CW Dec 26th
Viewsat Dec 26th
Pansat 26th
Coolsat Dec 26th
SonicView Dec27th

They must have been down on the 25th to require fixes on the 26th and 27th.
I am also aware that there was another ECM on the 27th.

Remember that it was 50% on Christmas day.
This was JP's idea and contest so He will have to investigate more, LoL.

I'll add a poll to see who was able to watch PPV/Porn and with what.

i would say most recievers was up on dec 25.pansat coolsat viewsat captive works fortec and some other cant remeber was up :mad:

I own Viewsats and I was up on all three models, plat., Extr., and Ultra. We started to go down early the morning of the 26. I was shocked when they released a new file on for Viewsat on the 26th. Downloaded the new fixes at 11:00am.

All were up and running on the 25th. What the 26th fixes were for was to fix the freezing that was occurring. But I could watch PPV I am to old for the porn it don't work that way at my age you need the real thing!!!!!!:o

But as I said none was bitching except those that bitch anyway on the 25th. I want to win because I hate losing and kept track of the shout boxes here, livefta, ftapeople and totalfta (when they were up and running) and no reports of system wide outages on Christmas just the freezing.:D:)

OK.. sounds convincing.
How disorganised am I.. I'm not even sure of the result!

I think what happened was.. we had problems with attachments, so we were delayed in posting the fixes. If that was the case, oer 50% were up.. but I'll do a little more research.

I don't think that you were delayed in getting the fixes up, fixes were not posted on other sites until Dec. 26th. DN did not go down on VS until the wee hours of the morning on Dec. 26th.

it looks to me that people are voting the way that they voted for the original post and padding stats per say. if you look through the forums here and on most other sites, there was not much mention that i can find of anything more than 3 brands of boxes down on the 25th, and that is not that close to 50% at all.

a new contest would be fine also. the regular contest for the ufc fight would be coming up before the fight on the 19th. could give two boxes away for that one. then the winner could enjoy a new satopia, and they could share one with a friend and get another person into FTA. just a suggestion.

Both are great ideas! Really hard to say what was up/down with the activity that week. I voted No.

My up/down status on Dec. 25th was:
CS7K-PVR: frequent freezing and scrambled channels on all channels, frequent stb freezing requiring hard reboots every 30 minutes or so. Deemed unusable by wife.

NFusion: All was up on IKS only. EMU was mostly black on DN & completely black on B3V.

Just a suggestion here JP.

There seems to be alot of contradicting info on this hole thing "up or not". So how about saying that due to this being an overwhelming issue that cannot be solved without more controversy, we should have a new contest.

The new contest should be will Viewsat have there full ECM program written by February 1st or not. I know this contest is for a Satopia stb but what the hell.;)

It's your call JP but I thought I'd just add a suggestion.:)
